Oh, Rotterdam.
I step out of Rotterdam Centraal with a yogurt parfait in one hand and my cell phone in the other. There was a windstorm on the day I arrived in the city, but all I could think to myself was:
Wow, look at all this awesome art and architecture!
Everywhere I looked had some innovative and quirky art, which was quite refreshing. Just look at the Erasmus Bridge above, isn’t that cool?
Wandering around the city by foot was relaxing and allowed me to take in the atmosphere of the city. I particularly liked the street art which filled the city with so much colour.
I am a foodie, so a visit to Fenix Food Factory was on my list of places to visit. Here, my hostel mates and I had some tasty Moroccan tapas.
Pictured above is the street where my hostel was located. This area is called “The Cool District” and it is exactly that. I sometimes think about Rotterdam and all the amazing people I met while there; it truly is a magical city.
