Hello my friends! StarBucks holiday red cups are out, which means it is the Christmas season is finally upon us, right? ? There are only six weeks left until Christmas, I’m excited already; mental Christmas gift ideas and holiday recipes are already flooding my mind!
The recipe that I will be sharing today is this SCRUMPTIOUS Peppermint Mocha Cookie recipe that is sure to make your mouth water.
If you are a fan of the StarBucks Peppermint Mocha, then you will fall in love with these cookies, promise. These festive treats are very simple to make and they pack a tasty, visual punch to any holiday gathering, potluck or cookie swap. I’m not usually one to decorate cookies, but come on, look at these gorgeous cookies!
The cookie dough is actually my Chocolate lover’s Fudge Brownie Cookies which are also on the blog. These cookies use a boxed chocolate cake mix to produce quick and tasty cookies that are the perfect base for the icing and candy cane topping.
I hope you all enjoy this fabulous and festive holiday treat!
-Chewy
- One batch of Chocolate lover's Fudge Brownie Cookies
- 1 cup of store-bought, canned white icing
- About 8 candy canes, coarsely crushed
- Place the coarsely crushed candy canes in a shallow, medium bowl.
- Melt the icing in a microwave-safe bowl for 5-10 seconds until it is the consistency of honey or molasses.
- Take the cookies and dip half of them into the melted icing, then quickly dunk them into the crushed candy canes.
- Lay them flat on a wire cookie rack or a sheet of parchment paper to dry. Once the icing has solidified, you can eat them!!!! 🙂

These look amazing! Too bad I don’t like peppermint, but my best friend goes peppermint crazy, so I might make them for her! 🙂

Not sure what will happen first… these cookies or a trip to Starbucks for a Peppermint Mocha (30 minute drive away). Both sound yummy. What trick did you use to crush the candy canes? I put mine in a ziploc bag and went at them with a wine bottle. Yum. I’m classy.

This comment made me chuckle ? And I actually took a meat tenderizer to crush up the candy canes, haha!! (LOL I’m barbaric)

Chocolate mint is one of hubby’s favourite flavour combos. This is going on our Christmas cookie list. So easy too! Yay!
