Caught in stormy weather
I remember that stormy day in Zadar vividly. As the rain and wind grew stronger, more and more people sought for shelter in cafes, restaurants and shops. We tried sticking it out, not letting the rain deter us from exploring the city, but we were no match for Mother Nature. We took refuge in an ice cream shop, then a cafe.
After the storm
By the late afternoon or early evening, the storm had passed and the sky began clearing up, revealing the bright sun once again. As it was approaching golden hour, the town was illuminated in the most beautiful light. We took advantage of the beautiful weather by taking a scenic walk along the Adriatic coastline from the Old Town of Zadar back to our hostel.
Figs, anyone?
We enjoyed feeling the warm sunshine on our faces and had a wonderful time talking, laughing and of course, admiring the beauty in which we were surrounded by. There were a large number of fig trees out in the open, so of course we had to pick some! Thank you Jonathan for climbing the tree and getting all these figs for us, they were amazing!
Straight out of a movie
We continued walking as golden hour in Zadar continued, carefree and relaxed. It was like being in that perfect summer movie. I miss this place already.
